By now you’ve probably heard that the corporate dickwads at Google have decided to pull the plug on Google Reader.
People turned to Twitter to lambaste Google for its decision… Outraged Google Reader fans put together a petition on the Web site Change.org to keep the RSS reader alive, and in a few hours had garnered more than 50,000 signatures.
“Of all their shitty products, ideas, concepts they had to kill this one. It may amaze you gentlemen that Orkut is still up and running!”
Incidentally, Hitler is pretty pissed too.

I wondered how you were going to take that. Will you be devastated over the loss of google+ when it dries up and blows away?
I was annoyed by it too. But there are other RSS aggregators out there: The Old Reader for one, and feedly for another. I’m trying out feedly because I don’t want to be too retro and stuck in my ways.

Google Reader was daily. Google+ mostly annoys me. I will not shed a tear if G+ croaks. Word on the street is that they are trying to push folks to G+ so shutting down reader is part of their plan.

Yes, I’ve already started to use Feedly. It works on the PC and also from any IOS. I’m still mad they are pitching reader! Stupid Google!
