“Maybe we get around to doing another Blade, except, from what I’m reading, every other actor is talking about playing him, and nobody is talking to Wesley,” he said. “How strange that they don’t come and talk to me about it.”

Ronald P. Hill holds an endowed chair at the Villanova School of Business, where he is senior associate dean of intellectual strategy. He can probably also kick your butt.

- How about some white collar Aikido?
“We spend our lives either avoiding conflict or plunging into conflict. Neither is very constructive,” Brodbeck said. “Aikido teaches how to navigate conflict without destruction by blending with the force, rather than opposing it. This makes for a powerful learning tool both in terms of physical conflict and interpersonal relationships.”
We realize that the majority of people in our population do not possess the skills to fend off strong, determined assailants as we would… we advocate the use of various tools to stop criminals from harming us or others.
My student, assistant instructor, and husband, Chris completed his Shodan exam this past Sunday. I am happy to announce that he passed.
- Jesse helps us stay motivated.
Not that I’m an expert on the subject, since, quite frankly, I don’t believe in the word “motivation” to begin with. That’s just a word people made up so they can have an excuse to avoid doing stuff that’s boring.

Which of these comics is most relevant to your practice of martial arts?

Got a martial arts blog? If so consider joining my Martial Arts Toplist!

I had heard about the JCVD heart attack. It’s weird considering the physical shape that he is in.
About the black belt dean, I wish he was my dean while I was in college – that way the budget wouldn’t have been so horrific (colleges are cutting costs). Speaking of which, how is he going to do about the sticky issues such as money?
And lastly the link for the “white collar” Aikido, you have to subscribe to the newspaper in order to the see the full article! (boo…).
AA –
I did not know about JCVD’s heart attack until yesterday. He may be in shape physically but who knows about family history or his diet! As for that article, well, as Han Solo would say: “It’s not my fault.”
Wasnt Van Damage a major coke-hound back in the day? I vaguely remember a documentary about (and featuring) him that said as much. Perhaps that was a factor?
Love your new profile photo Bob, somehow you are more believable now? Great to keep us on our toes. Does not sound like Fedor to trash talk, apparently it was his manager. Is there a fight coming up that we don’t know about, maybe?
Enjoyed the Patrick Parker video, some good practical stuff there.

I’ve been blogging for five years now – to not go totally insane I have to keep it fresh for me, too!
Stefan,
Yeah, I recall that too. I think he also boozed it up pretty bad. Who knows?
Caboolture TKD — hey! That’s about an hour’s north of where I live (Brisbane, Australia)!
