- Lesnar takes a punch and also takes the win at UFC 116. He also may have turned from heel to face! My question: Is the so-called change of heart due to his recent illness, Dana White, or a calculated entertainment move?
But despite the rough start at UFC 116 on Saturday night, Lesnar showed a lot of grit in lasting through the early trouble to submit Carwin with a second-round arm triangle to retain the UFC heavyweight championship.

I would like to extend a great thank you to Logue Sensei for creating these very thoughtful and meaningful responses.

This blog is about my journey through the Chinese Internal Martial Arts – baguazhang, yiquan, taijiquan, and the people I meet on the way.
- Lori has two great posts! The first puts my dojang garage to shame while the second is one that Potatoe Fist should read!

I must confess that the show angered me: not because I felt personally insulted – but because I felt that my intelligence (and every other viewer’s) was insulted.

Thanks for pointing to the training/health tips. I’ve never heard of arnica, but I’d love to try that out on my shoulder and see how it goes. I’ll think I’ll visit the health food store and try my luck.
I’ve received excellent care from my PT over the years for my knees and I give that credit for my quick recoveries. However, the Rest part of the formula has been tough for me. Even my PT tells me the Henny Youngman joke, “if it hurts when you do that, don’t do that.” I just have this huge hangup trying to tell Teacher that I need time to heal.
I’ve recently struck a nice balance by upping my rehab exercises, cutting out running and most leg exercises, and choosing high stances. My knee has almost completely healed in about two weeks. Now I’m going to baby it for a couple more weeks before I attempt anything too crazy.
Saw your name around Colin’s blog. Heard there were some good combat applications to Tai Chi, but this video really brought it home for me. Really like how they did part of the stick fighting video in slow motion, so you can break down the techniques. Like what I see on this blog and will definitely return.
Colin is nothing but trouble. You really have to watch that guy!
Anyhow, thanks for dropping by!
I’m not sure if any of what is in this book will help your knees.
It’s one of those books that I will read a few times. I’ve already started the Chi Fong with light dumbells — mainly for exercise.
The author offers a few relaxation focus exercises based on his experiences with the soft arts. There is also a fair amount of combat application and theory.
