While working on my last post I came across this tidbit:
The Expendables is an upcoming 2010 ensemble action film directed and written by Sylvester Stallone.
…The film pays tribute to the blockbuster action films during the 1980s and early 90s, as the film includes action veterans from those decades (such as Stallone himself, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis etc.).
I’m a sucker for this kinda thing and I’m also a Stallone fan. Yeah, he’s made more than a few stinkers but he’s also made some classics. I’m surprised someone did not try to make a movie like this sooner. Anyhow, it could be really good or totally awful. Either way I’ll be going to it!

Apparently Jean-Claude Van Damme turned down a role in the film. I bet Wesley Snipes would have kicked someone through a plate glass window to have a spot. Too bad he’s still in jail for tax evasion. An unconfirmed rumor has it that Steven Seagal missed Stallone’s call because he was too busy eating a roast beef sandwich.
Anyhow, let’s close with Sly buffing up for the Expendables.
