Indianapolis hosted its first-ever Chinese Festival today. Naturally me and the missus had to go check it out. Overall it was pretty good for the first-ever event like this here in Indianapolis. They had vendors set up selling some Chinese goods, authentic foods, etc., and we even got our names written in Chinese on some nifty bookmarks for free.
Oh and the event itself was free too and we even snagged free parking downtown on a day when they were charging $30 to park for some event at Lucas Oil Stadium (aka the multimillion tax dollar “so-called” solution to ALL of Indy’s troubles). This in itself is a small miracle! All-in-all this was a nice cultural event that was a far cry from the usual Hoosier chili cheese fries blubber gut events that this fine state usually hosts.
