Seagalology: The Study of Steven Seagal

06/07/2008 · 2 Comments

Martial Development reveals a new Steven Seagal movie appearance while Dojo Rat helps us to interpret Mr. Seagal’s complex array of emotions.

What does this make these gentlemen? Answer: They are what is known as Seagologists.

Welcome to the Seagalology web site, devoted to the study of Steven Seagal. What is Seagalology? Have you ever watched a Steven Seagal movie and wondered if you’ve already seen it before? Did it seem oddly familiar, and not just because Steven Seagal is incapable of showing any emotion? That’s because every Steven Seagal film follows a very specific formula and design in terms of plot, characters and of course Steven Seagal.

Here’s more on Seagal from the Urban Dictionary:

Currently weighing in at a cool 400 pounds, he doesn’t have to actually fight anymore, just wave his hands and all have broken necks or arms. He dresses to kill in all black, which does not hide his bulky ass. No acting skills are required; all that is needed is to have a dick in your throat and be able to mumble “Mission Accomplished”.

I’ll close with a clip from one of his latest “straight-to-DVD” releases: Out for Breakfast? Dick Kicker? Urban Pistols? You decide…

Out for Breakfast

Now if you’ll excuse me, all this action has made me very thirsty so I need to cool off with a nice Lightning Bolt.

When Steven Seagal traveled to Asia searching for the ingredients for Steven Seagal’s Lightning Bolt, he wanted a universal Asian character to summarize it’s energy and power.

Bob! OMG – that was priceless. Poor Steve. I remember how impressed I was after that first movie. I thought he was having a comeback when he was in that movie with Daman Wayans. Ah well.

Yeah I really liked Seagal’s first few movies. Somewhere along the way I think Hollywood got to him.

Anyhow it’s good to see you are still alive!

I have not seen you post on your blog in a while.

    :)
